ERUA Intensive course: “Representing the political”

Between the 28th and 31st of October the Paris 8 University will conduct and intensive course “Representing the Political”, a deep dive into the intersection of politics, society, and the arts.

The course is developed with the field of Political Science and will alternates from lecture format to more interactive, small-groups interactions and work and exchanges on the final hybrid assignment.

There will be two examinations:

– One 2h on-table exam on October 31st (10:00 AM – 12:00 PM)

– One hybrid assignment (classic research paper with a research-creation appendix) to be returned via email or Moodle by the end of the semester (mid-December 2024).

The course will grant 5 credits upon successful completion!

Who can apply:

We are looking for 10 MA students from ERUA universities who are fluent in English and have a background in Social sciences – sociology, political science, cultural studies.  An interest for art and culture at large (including photography, museum studies, music, and cinema) and/or creative practices/hobby is a plus.

The deadline for the application is October 23rd, 2024.

Course Dates: October 28th to October 31st 2024, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (with breaks).

Language: English.
