ERUA Intensive course: “Communication with patients in crisis situations”

On the 18th and 19th of July the New Bulgarian University will conduct an onsite  intensive course on “Communication with patients in crisis situations”. The course is in the field of Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, Biomedical studies and will take place at New Bulgarian University, Sofia, Bulgaria.

The course will offer discussions on some critical skills when communicating with patients and their families in crisis – communicating serious illness, death of family member, donor situation, and medical errors. The course includes 6 hours of lectures and discussions and 6 hours of practical activities – case discussions, simulation of situations and will award one ECTS.

18.07.2024

10.00 – 13.30 Communicating with patients in a crisis – 4 academic hours /lectures, discussions/

14.30 – 16.00 Internship – participation in communicative situation – 2 hours training

19.07.2024

10.00 – 13.30 Communicating with families in a crisis – 2 academic hours /lectures, discussions/

14.30 – 16.00 Internship – training – 4 hours training

 

Dates: from July 18th to July 19th, 2024 

Place: New Bulgarian University, Sofia, Bulgaria

Funding: ERUA students can receive travel and accommodation funding from their home universities.
