Keywords: Knowledge dissemination, societal engagement through teaching

The project aims to understand how politics, society and businesses interact to adapt to the social, economic and political challenges of digitalization and automation. It investigates to what extent the digital transformation of work is perceived as a threat or opportunity by workers, citizens, policy-makers and businesses. It analyzes the demands, expectations and behavior of political actors concerning the regulation of technological change and looks into their stances with regard to labor market, education, and social policy reforms.

Sebastian envisions societal engagement and impact through active work on dissemination – communicating research by giving interviews and writing newspaper articles in addition to academic publications. Additionally, he strives to create societal impact by blurring boundaries between research and teaching – making his data available to students, sharing his research in teaching and lab sessions.
