The term “poetic” is generally used to define the rules and norms which frame and structure literary production, the use of language, styles and genres (literary). From the reflection around sexual difference and female writing, emerged the idea that women in writing, whatever the genre practiced (poetry, novel, theater) have invested the language and the symbolic order of so as to transform, expand, sometimes subvert the range of styles and approaches. Feminist criticism has forced literary theory to take into account the upheavals of subjectivity, bodies and sexualities. All poetics are henceforth associated and questioned by the politics of bodies, the stakes and the articulations of norms, codes, cultural idioms. What about the “reading of sexual difference” in the practice of studying texts? How is desire written in the texts of authors? How are the relationships between the sexes told (heterosexuality, homosexuality, lesbians, gays)? The history of literary and artistic criticism in recent decades is particularly abundant. We will discuss a number of significant works (fiction and essays) in the field of comparative literature. The evaluation will include an oral presentation on a text and / or a theme (20 min.) and an assignment (between 12 and 15 pages).
