How to Monetise My Idea
New Bulgarian University invites students, young researchers, entrepreneurs and aspiring innovators from all ERUA universities to join an interactive workshop exploring how ideas can be transformed into sustainable business opportunities.
Have you ever had an idea and wondered: “Could this actually become a business?”
The workshop “How to Monetise My Idea” will provide participants with practical tools and perspectives for turning innovative concepts into viable and sustainable business models.
Through a combination of expert input, interactive exercises and hands-on work, participants will explore how to identify the value behind an idea, understand potential customers and markets, define a clear value proposition and select appropriate monetisation and revenue-generation strategies.
Rather than simply talking about entrepreneurship, the workshop will function as an interactive laboratory for ideas. Participants will have the opportunity to work on their own concepts, test their assumptions, receive feedback and develop a clearer understanding of how an idea can move from concept to market.
What will participants gain?
During the workshop, participants will:
- identify the financial needs of their social entrepreneurial idea and the stage of development it has reached;
- explore different sources of funding and financial support available for their projects;
- identify relevant EU, national, regional and private funding opportunities;
- explore foundations, NGOs, philanthropic organisations, investors, CSR programmes, incubators, accelerators and other potential sources of support;
- learn how to assess funding opportunities and understand eligibility requirements;
- develop a basic Financing Map for their own project, answering the key question: “Who could finance my idea and why?”;
- receive practical guidance and feedback on how to take the next step towards financing and further development of their project.
The workshop is particularly relevant for participants who have already developed a social business idea, start-up concept, creative project, research-based innovation or social initiative and have reached the next stage of development: identifying where the financial resources needed to turn their idea into a viable project could come from.
