We are excited to announce a community-wide call to gather proposals aimed at adopting a an Anthem for the ERUA. The call seek ideas that embody the spirit and values of our alliance, ERUA’s core principles of Openness, Student-focused approach, Inclusiveness, and Humanism. The submitted proposals should additionally outline strategies for merchandising the chosen Anthem. We encourage universities within our community to participate actively in this collaborative creative process. Submissions should reflect appropriate interpretations of ERUA’s values and aspirations. The selection committee will choose the best proposal by considering the clarity, applicability, and originality of the proposed anthems, as well as their creativity, relevance, and aesthetic quality. This anthem will later be used to represent the identity of ERUA2 and promote its values.
We are looking for creative minds from our students, faculty members and administrative staff, to craft a memorable and attractive Anthem for our ERUA2 network.
Submission Details
Each participant may submit only one proposal that needs to include the following features:
- Complete text of the proposed anthem, with any accompanying musical score
- The anthem must be created in accordance with the motto and coat of arms of the project, which can be found at the following link
- The anthem must be original and unpublished
- It should reflect the values, mission, and vision of ERUA2
- The duration of the anthem must be between 90 and 180 seconds
- The anthem’s lyrics must be in English and consists of a minimum of 5 stanzas (metrical units), no limits of verses for each stanza
- Participants are required to submit lyrics, scores, and an audio recording of the anthem, with voice(s) and instrumental accompaniment
- The recording should be in MP3 or, preferably, FLAC format. This allows the jury to assess the quality and interpretation of the musical performance

- Selection Procedure
The Selection Board will elaborate a short list of at least three proposals to be forwarded to the Steering Committee of ERUA2 for the final decision.
The selection committee will take into account the clarity, applicability, and originality of the anthems, as well as the creativity, relevance, and aesthetic quality, along with their ability to represent the identity and values of ERUA2.
- Award
Mobility opportunities will be offered to the winner as for example attending courses or workshops organized within the framework of ERUA2, participating at events and representing the alliance at relevant events as the ERUA International Day to perform the Anthem.
- Intellectual Property
ERUA2 Universities partners will have exploitation rights over the selected and winning Anthem during the Project and for a period of 1 year after the end of the Project. In case of selection, the authors agree to transfer their rights to the ERUA2 Universities partners and they exonerate ERUA2 Universities partners from future disputes over intellectual property brought by third parties. The joint ownership is governed by Grant Agreement Article 16.2.
