Tutorship Program

The ERUA Tutorship Programme is an innovative initiative designed to equip students with the necessary skills, knowledge and attitudes to become co-creators and active participants in the governance and activities of the European Reform University Alliance (ERUA). While the tutorship programme aims to empower its participants, the programme itself was designed in a joint bottom-up co-creation process by students and staff.

By the end of January 2025, a pilot was set up and the training of the first cohort of ERUA tutors will start in February, 2025. In the second implementation phase, which begins in May 2025, the programme will be open to all interested ERUA students and involve the previously trained tutors as mentors.

The Tutorship Programme combines flexible online asynchronous content (videos, quizzes, handouts, texts, case studies) with personal interaction (meeting a tutor, submission of a personal reflective assignment). It aims to lower thresholds to student engagement through:

  •       Providing crucial information and guidance, empowering students to contribute meaningfully to ERUA activities and governance structures.
  •       Support transfer of knowledge between different cohorts of students engaged in the alliance and establish sustainable participation structures.
  •       Foster collaboration and connection between ERUA students to strengthen the student community and their voice within the alliance.

By completion, participants will receive a certificate.
