Call for Lightning Talks: Contribute to the ERUA Social Entrepreneurship Playbook at SOCIN 2026

ERUA’s Social Entrepreneurship Lab (WP6) invites students at all levels and university staff from across the ERUA community to contribute to a dedicated Lightning Talks session during the WP6 Workshop at SOCIN 2026, hosted by SWPS University in Warsaw.

  • 22 October 2026
  • 14:30 – 16:30 CEST
  • SWPS University, Warsaw, Poland & online
  • Deadline for proposals: 14 September 2026

The workshop is closely connected to the development of the ERUA Social Entrepreneurship Playbook. The Playbook aims to bring together experiences, educational practices and initiatives from across the Alliance that demonstrate how universities can promote social entrepreneurship, societal engagement and impact-oriented education.

What are we looking for?

The Lightning Talks will provide a dynamic space to showcase projects, teaching approaches, collaborations and lessons learned that can contribute to this shared resource.

We welcome contributions related to social entrepreneurship education, challenge-based learning, collaboration with communities and stakeholders, sustainability and social innovation, student-led initiatives, and other educational practices that generate societal value and impact.

Each selected participant will have 10 minutes to present their initiative.

Eligibility criteria

Proposals should meet the following basic criteria:

  • The call is primarily addressed to teaching and research staff from ERUA universities, although students are also welcome to submit and share relevant experiences or initiatives.
  • The proposed initiative, experience or practice should be related to social entrepreneurship, societal engagement, social innovation or impact-oriented education.
  • Proposals should be submitted through the application form by 14 September 2026.

How to participate

Submit your Lightning Talk proposal through the following form by 14 September 2026https://forms.gle/ckQgAvA3badQQwYFA

Proposals will be reviewed by members of ERUA WP6 board members, considering their relevance to the scope of the session and their potential contribution to the ERUA Social Entrepreneurship Playbook.

Selected participants will be contacted directly by email and will receive further information about the format and organisation of the session.

Participants wishing to attend in person should contact their local ERUA or mobility office before making travel arrangements. Mobility funding is managed independently by each ERUA university and is subject to the funding availability and procedures of each institution.

Selected contributions will be part of the WP6 workshop and may also help inform the development of the ERUA Social Entrepreneurship Playbook, creating a shared resource for educational innovation and social impact across the Alliance.
