On 16 June 2026, researchers from across the ERUA Alliance, and especially early-career researchers, are invited to take part in the Annual Networking Fair for Researchers, which will be held in the framework of the Third International Researchers’ Day organized by Paris 8 University.
The event will take place from 13:30 to 15:00 CEST and will offer a valuable opportunity for researchers to explore funding opportunities, connect with research support professionals, and engage directly with experts from different funding landscapes.
A particular focus of this year’s Networking Fair will be on funding opportunities for early-career researchers. Participants will have the opportunity to meet and interact with three distinguished guests:
- Dr. Geny Piotti (European University Viadrina), who will present European Union funding opportunities for individual researchers and provide insights into programs supporting research careers at the European level.
- Dr. Jule Nowoitnick (European University Viadrina), who will introduce selected funding schemes offered by German funding organizations, with particular attention to opportunities available to international postdoctoral researchers.
- Prof. Dr. Andrea von Hülsen-Esch, Vice President of the Franco-German University (DFH-UFA), an associated partner of ERUA, who will present the institution’s activities and discuss funding opportunities supporting Franco-German academic cooperation and research projects.
In the spirit of a networking fair, participants joining online will be encouraged to engage actively with the speakers through questions and discussion. At the same time, participants attending the Third International Students’ Day in Paris will have the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with members of the ERUA Research Support Network on site.
By bringing together researchers, funding experts, and research support professionals, the Annual Networking Fair for Researchers aims to strengthen connections across the Alliance and support researchers in identifying new opportunities for international collaboration and career development.
