Call for Applications: Visiting Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Macerata

The Department of Law at the University of Macerata has opened a call for applications for one Visiting Postdoctoral Fellow for the academic year 2026–2027.

The selected fellow will join the Department of Law and contribute to the research activities of the CCR project “The phenomenon of environmental and climatic migrations and its impact on economic and social dynamics in the Euro-Mediterranean region”, hosted at the Interdepartmental Research Centre on the Adriatic and the Mediterranean (CiRAM). The fellowship focuses on the topic “Governing a Moving Planet: Sea-Level Rise, Human Mobility and Transformative Frameworks for Sustainability”.

The Visiting Postdoctoral Fellow will be hosted for 30 days at the University of Macerata during one of the following periods: 1 October–30 November 2026 or 1 February–31 May 2027. During the stay, the fellow will take part in research activities, may contribute to teaching activities for up to 8 hours, and will collaborate with the project team in the preparation of a research proposal for European funding.

The fellowship provides a gross grant of €3,000 for the 30-day stay. The amount is intended to support travel, board and accommodation, medical expenses, and any visa or permit-related costs for non-EU citizens. The Department of Law will also provide access to study and research facilities, libraries and laboratories.

 

Applications must include:

  • an academic CV
  • a research activity description of up to 800 words
  • a motivation letter of up to 400 words
  • an academic reference letter,
  • the preferred period of stay
  • a copy of an identity document or passport
  • any information needed to arrange support for applicants with impairments.
