From November 24 to 28, 2025, the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC) welcomed 22 students from the University of Macerata (UNIMC) for the Traveling Seminar: Spanish Language AI. The visit offered an immersive academic and cultural experience, giving students the chance to engage in dynamic learning activities, collaborate closely with peers, and explore new perspectives.
This fostered interaction and collaboration between students from both universities, promoting the creation of new connections and the exchange of perspectives and knowledge.
The academic program was coordinated by Professor Nayra Rodríguez and involved Professor Armando Francesconi from the Università di Macerata. The seminar focused on developing discursive competence in Spanish, combining theory and practice through oral and written production exercises. Students worked both individually and in groups, using electronic resources and the CRAI (Center for Learning and Research Resources) at the ULPGC for documentary research and critical text analysis.

On the cultural side, participants took a guided tour of the old town, led by Professor Manuel Santana, visiting iconic sites such as the Pérez Galdós House Museum, providing historical and cultural context to the seminar.
The seminar was a rewarding experience that fostered personal growth, intercultural exchange, and stronger ties between UNIMC and ULPGC within the ERUA alliance.
