Erasmus Mundus Design Measures grant for USWPS and ERUA

We are proud to announce that for the very first time, SWPS University, in collaboration with the European Reform University Alliance (ERUA), was awarded an Erasmus Mundus Design Measures grant to develop the ““GREEN MUNDUS: Joint Master in the Psychology of Climate Action”.

Common goal — climate action

The goal of the project is to develop a joint Master’s degree program in psychology of climate action and protection of the natural environment. It will be implemented by a consortium under the leadership of SWPS University. Other members of the consortium include institutions that are part of the ERUA alliance and two external partners:

ERUA members:

  • SWPS University, Poland — project coordinator
  • Mykolas Romeris University, Lithuania
  • University Paris 8, France
  • University of the Aegean, Greece

ERUA external partners:

  • University of Oslo, Norway
  • De La Salle University, the Philippines.

The project to develop the “GREEN MUNDUS: Joint Master in the Psychology of Climate Action” will be launched in October 2025 and will last for 15 months. The budget is EUR 60,000.

SWPS University is represented in the project by Professor Karolina Mazurowska from the Department of Social Psychology of the Faculty of Psychology in Warsaw. She recently talked about the significance of the Design Measures grant:

“The Green Mundus grant awarded to the consortium is also a significant step in the development of our Faculty of Psychology, and shows our commitment to climate action. The new interdisciplinary “GREEN MUNDUS: Joint Master Program in the Psychology of Climate Action” will combine a background in psychology with climate and social policies. The goal of the program is to train specialists, who will be ready to design and implement evidence-based pro-climate actions and be able to engage communities in initiatives that improve climate and are aligned with sustainable development and social justice. The program meets the demands of the European green economy labor market and enhances graduates’ employment prospects in both the public and private sectors.
Green Mundus is not just an academic innovation, but also an expression of our social responsibility and our contribution to the implementation of the European Union’s priorities, such as: the European Green Deal, Just Transition Mechanism, and an Economy that Works for People.”

Congratulations to the whole team. We are extremally glad to be involved in this project.
