Annual Networking Fair for Researchers – SOCIN 2026

From 21 to 23 October 2026, researchers from across the ERUA Alliance are invited to take part in the Annual Networking Fair for Researchers, which will be held at SWPS University in Warsaw, in the framework of the SOCIN 2026 Conference.

Building on previous editions, the Annual Networking Fair for Researchers continues to contribute to ERUA’s efforts to build a strong and connected research community across its partner universities, an area of collaboration led by the University of Macerata. By bringing researchers together, the Fair encourages exchange, fosters a sense of belonging, and creates new opportunities for collaboration across the Alliance.

This year’s Annual Networking Fair will offer an expanded program of activities designed to strengthen research collaboration across the ERUA Alliance, facilitate access to funding opportunities, and create new connections between researchers from different disciplines and partner universities.

The programme

The programme brings together activities organized by different ERUA partners. The funding information session and the Research Support Network (RSN) Stand are organized by the RSN and the European University Viadrina (EUV). This year’s host, SWPS University, is organizing the Research Clusters Session and two interactive networking workshops.

Researchers who will not be attending the conference in Warsaw will have the opportunity to participate online in two sessions.

Info Session: Funding for ERUA Research Clusters

21 October, 16:15–18:15 CEST

On-site: Room S106 (1st floor) |  Online: https://zoom.us/j/99991829802

Building on the focus on funding opportunities in previous editions, this year’s information session will specifically address funding opportunities for ERUA Research Clusters, with the aim of supporting the development of collaborative research projects across the Alliance.

During this session, participants will have the opportunity to learn about different funding schemes and engage directly with research support experts from ERUA partner universities:

  • Geny Piotti (European University Viadrina) – European funding opportunities
  • Nada Khoury (University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria) – Erasmus+ Key Action 2
  • Inès Arcia and Juan-Pablo Yáñez (University of Paris 8) – National funding for international research
  • Antonio Carbone (European University Viadrina) – ERUA funding for Research Clusters

Research Clusters Session

23 October, 10:00–11:30 CEST

On-site: Room S109 | Online: https://zoom.us/j/91694016504

This dedicated session will provide ERUA Research Clusters with a platform to present their profiles and research focus, increase their visibility across the Alliance, and foster new interdisciplinary synergies.

Participants will have the opportunity to discover the activities of different Research Clusters, learn more about their research interests, and explore possibilities for future collaboration.

Additional Onsite Networking Opportunities

Researchers attending SOCIN 2026 in Warsaw will also have the opportunity to participate in two interactive workshops, “Matchmaking Session: Six Projects Seeking Collaborators” and “Networking Workshop for Research Clusters”, designed to foster new research partnerships and strengthen collaboration across the Alliance.

In addition, the ERUA Research Support Network (RSN) stand will offer an opportunity to meet research support professionals, learn more about available support services, and discuss potential research initiatives.

By bringing together researchers, funding experts, and research support professionals through a variety of onsite and online activities, the Annual Networking Fair for Researchers aims to strengthen the ERUA research community and support the development of new collaborative research initiatives across the Alliance.
