Empowering Early Career Researchers at Viadrina
Join us for an inspiring and interdisciplinary Research Week from Oct 05-09, 2026 at Europa-Universität Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder). The program brings together early career researchers to strengthen academic skills, foster international exchange, and support innovative research careers.
Participants will take part in practical workshops, discussions, and networking opportunities on topics including research management, AI tools, grant writing, academic resilience, and science communication.
In preparation for the Research Week, participants will attend an online pitch training (September 18, 2026 & September 25, 2026).

We warmly invite early career researchers from all disciplines at the eight ERUA partner universities — Europa-Universität Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) (Germany), Mykolas Romeris University (Lithuania), New Bulgarian University (Bulgaria), SWPS University (Poland), University of Macerata (Italy), University of Paris 8 Vincennes–Saint-Denis (France), University of the Aegean (Greece), and University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Spain) — to apply for the International Research Week 2026 at Viadrina.
Early career researchers include advanced master’s students aspiring to pursue research, doctoral candidates, postdoctoral researchers, and scholars without a permanent research position.
The programme offers a unique opportunity to:
- strengthen academic and professional skills,
- present research projects,
- connect with international peers,
- and expand academic networks in an interdisciplinary environment.
Participation is free of charge. Participants may apply for Erasmus+ funding for travel and accommodations through their home university.
Please note that only persons affiliated with one of the above-mentioned ERUA partner universities — meaning students, researchers, or staff officially enrolled or employed at these institutions — are eligible to apply. Unfortunately, applications from individuals affiliated with other institutions cannot be considered.
