As part of the support provided for the dissemination and promotion of your research, the Paris 8 – Doctoral College is organizing an Academic English Workshop. This training is an essential component of your doctoral journey and aims to ensure your autonomy in scientific communication, both oral and written, within an international research environment. Given the increasing importance of research dissemination, your participation is strongly encouraged. This workshop is open to PhD candidates from all disciplines who have at least a B2 level of English. Regular attendance throughout all sessions is required in order to fully benefit from and validate this training experience.
Period: June 1 to June 26, 2026
Format: 4 online workshops with groups of 10 students (3 hours of training per week) + individual work
Total of 18 hours of training per group
Capacity: The 4 workshops are limited to a total of 40 participants
Program includes:
- Scientific communication in English
- Reading and synthesizing academic literature
- Oral research presentations
- Writing an academic CV in English
Registered participants will be contacted directly by the instructors, who will propose different time slots. The connection link will be sent once registration has been confirmed by the instructors.
