The University of the Aegean will host the 4th ERUA Science Café “Democracy & Human Rights: Protecting Freedom and Dignity in Everyday Life”, on Tuesday, 10 March 2026, at 13:00 CET.
The 4th ERUA Science Café will offer a constructive space to discuss how democracy and human rights continue to play a vital role in shaping our societies. Contributing to the objectives of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions) and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), the discussion will explore themes such as rule of law, participatory decision-making, fundamental freedoms, democratic governance, social inclusion, equal opportunity, non-discrimination, and social justice. By highlighting civic participation and community initiatives that promote inclusion, the open dialogue will focus on successful practices and collective responsibility, encouraging participants to reflect on how values that uphold human dignity can be strengthened in everyday life and contribute to more resilient and respectful communities.
