Date: 10 March 2026 Time: 10:00 - 13:00 (CET) Format: Online (session recorded)
Mara Noblet, ERUA’s Quality & Impact Manager and Chair of the FOREU4ALL Quality Assurance Group, is organizing a webinar on Institutional Reviews and External Quality Assurance of European University Alliances.
This webinar will bring together representatives from the European Commission, quality assurance agencies, and European University Alliances to discuss current and emerging approaches to institutional reviews and quality assurance of alliances. Webinar is open to all who are interesting in QA of EUAs.
As European University Alliances mature, questions around quality assurance, institutional review, and regulatory recognition are becoming increasingly central. This internal FOREU4ALL webinar, organised by the QA Topical Group, will bring together European Commission representatives, quality assurance agencies, and alliances to explore the current and emerging landscape of institutional reviews and evaluations of alliances.
The webinar will open with an update from DG EAC on ongoing reflections regarding the added value of a dedicated quality assurance framework for alliances and its links to the European Education Area, including developments around the joint European degree. It will then feature perspectives from quality assurance agencies on external evaluation approaches for alliances, including follow-ups to the EUniQ process, as well as first-hand feedback from alliances that have recently launched an institutional review process.
The second part of the event will focus on experience-sharing and discussion, including the presentation of survey results collected ahead of the webinar. A moderated debate will address a key open question for alliances and QA systems: to what extent could institutional alliance reviews replace or alleviate existing quality assurance obligations at institutional, programme, or alliance level, and what national or regulatory obstacles remain?
Registration is required on this link to access the event and contribute to the short preparatory survey which will be sent prior to the webinar along with the meeting link. The deadline for registration is March 6th. The session will be recorded.
We warmly encourage all interested parties to register and participate in this exchange.
