November 27, 2025, 1:00 p.m.–5:15 p.m. CET.
The dynamics and barriers of the present day affect not only global economic policy, but also regional European economic policy. German-Polish cooperation in particular has been under scrutiny for some time now. Double border controls and everyday challenges stand in the way of functioning regional cooperation and strong cross-border economic cooperation. On November 27, 2025, businesses, researchers, administrators, politicians, and the public will meet at the Collegium Polonicum Słubice to work on the future of the German-Polish economic area in a very practical way. The approach is simple: fewer speeches, more action.
In person at Collegium Polonicum, “Kleine Aula,” ul. Kościuszki 1, Słubice, PL
& via livestream with automatic English subtitles (YouTube).
What it’s all about:
1. Leveraging interdependencies: Germany and Poland are already closely intertwined. Poland is currently a key trading partner for Berlin-Brandenburg. We show where this is already generating orders, jobs, and innovations today.
2. Infrastructure: Railways, bridges, the A12 motorway, and logistics, with experiences and opinions from businesses, academia, and government.
Obstacles and opportunities: From border controls to advisory infrastructures and approvals: What is slowing things down and what solutions can be identified that will take effect tomorrow?
The aim is to make the economic dynamism of the two major economies of Germany and Poland tangible on the ground.
