As part of our European university alliance ERUA, students, staff, and local communities come together twice a year to take action for the environment. Around World Environment Day in June and the World Cleanup Day in September, ERUA universities organize cleanup events on their campuses, in nearby parks, along riversides or beaches, and in their cities.

These initiatives are simple, hands-on opportunities to contribute to sustainability, strengthen community, and raise awareness of the global challenges we face. They also connect directly to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in particular SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities and SDG 13: Climate Action.
