As part of the France–Brazil Year 2025 and the bicentennial of diplomatic relations between the two countries, Paris 8 University has launched its Brazil Season: a vibrant series of academic, cultural, and scientific events that highlight the university’s global outlook and commitment to international collaboration.

At the same time, the university deepened its institutional ties with Brazil, signing a Letter of Intent with the Federal University of Grande Dourados (UFGD) and welcoming the President of the University of Brasilia (UnB) to campus.
These initiatives underline the strong tradition of Franco-Brazilian cooperation fostered by Paris 8, driven by its researchers, students, and artists. They also reflect the university’s enduring mission: to imagine and build more just, inclusive, and sustainable societies through education, research, and cultural exchange.

The Brazil Season at Paris 8 is not only a celebration of bilateral ties but also a testament to the university’s identity as “The University of Creations”, a place where knowledge, critical thinking, and artistic innovation meet on an international scale.
