Open Science Meet-Up: Monitoring Open Science

On September 25th, between 14.00 and 14.45 (CET), the next Open Science Meet-Up will take place on Zoom. The topic is: Monitoring Open Science

In many academic disciplines, Open Science-related measures have paved the way, establishing elements of Open Science like Open Access text publications more and more as quasi-standards. In other academic disciplines and subfields of Open Science, the situation is somewhat different. As a consequence of this diverse set-up, it can be challenging – even for academic librarians – to keep track of how widespread exactly which subfield of Open Science is. To mend this, measures have been established to monitor Open Science. In this meet-up, Laetitia Bracco, head of the Research Data Support Service and the Bibliometrics Unit of the University Libraries of the Université de Lorraine, will present what measures the Université de Lorraine has taken to establish Open Science Monitoring. Moreover, she will introduce the Open Science Monitoring Initiative, an alliance in which academic librarians from all over the world have joined forces to pursue measures related to Open Science Monitoring. After the talk, we are eager to respond to any questions you may have and to exchange experiences related to monitoring Open Science. Everyone is invited – no registration required.
