Launch of the ERUA Academic Innovation Manual

We are thrilled to share with you the Academic Innovation Manual, a key milestone within the ERUA2 project, building upon the foundational work of ERUA1. This manual marks a significant step in strengthening the alliance’s capacity to research, develop, and implement innovative approaches to teaching and learning.

The manual aims to:

  • Consolidate the outcomes of innovative educational activities from ERUA’s first phase.
  • Support the integration of new alliance members in exploring both existing and emerging teaching methodologies, such as Service Learning, Cooperative Learning, Project-Based Learning, and Gamification.
  • Serve as a foundational tool for interdisciplinary educational innovation projects, encouraging collaboration between teachers and researchers to design and pilot innovative learning pathways across member universities.

This initiative forms part of WP2 – “Designing ERUA’s Innovative Learning Pathways”, specifically Task 2.7 – Development of ERUA’s Academic Innovation Laboratory. A pivotal activity within this task was the Academic Innovation Workshop, organized in June 2024 in Warsaw, as a WP2 milestone (MS7). The workshop not only facilitated the dissemination of innovative practices but also served as the catalyst for the consolidation of the Academic Innovation Manual.

Since May 2024, a dedicated Academic Innovation Working Group has convened regularly to co-create this manual, ensuring it reflects a broad spectrum of innovative pedagogical practices and supports ERUA’s mission to transform higher education.

We look forward to sharing the outcomes of this work and engaging the wider community in future innovation initiatives.
