The ERUA Quality Assurance and Impact Manager, Mara Noblet took part in an experts’ panel of the ENLIGHT Impact Conference and Awards 2025. Alongside members of the FOREU2 Impact group from alliances Circle U, EC2U, ENHANCE, and EU Green, the panel evaluated 15 impactful projects. Out of these, six outstanding initiatives were recognized and rewarded with an Impact Award, celebrating their meaningful contributions to higher education and society.
The ENLIGHT IMPACT Conference, hosted by the University of Groningen, brought together 180 participants from 18 countries, representing 55 organizations and 50 universities and universities of applied sciences. The event provided a dynamic platform for meaningful discussions, inspiring keynote sessions, and thought-provoking workshops, all aimed at enhancing impact approaches within European University Alliances.
Fostering Societal Impact in Higher Education
The conference centered on the role of higher education in driving societal impact through research, teaching, and service to society. Discussions emphasized the importance of breaking down barriers between academia and the wider community, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, and ensuring that universities remain key players in societal transformation.
Student Contributions and Recognized Impact Projects

A special highlight of the event was the participation of students who shared their experiences with impact in their respective alliances. Manon Colombo (EC2U Alliance), Lily Hashemi (ENHANCE Alliance), and Setayesh Karami (Circle U. European University Alliance) provided unique insights into the transformative power of collaborative efforts in higher education.
We extend our gratitude to the ENLIGHT IMPACT Conference Committee and the University of Groningen team for organizing such an inspiring event.
