Research collaboration and open science have been at the heart of ERUA since the creation of the alliance and we are excited to invite you to participate in the hybrid event, “Advancing Open Science: The Barcelona Declaration and Open Research Information”.

The event is taking place on December 6, 2024, from 11:00 to 15:30 EET at Mykolas Romeris University (Didlaukio g. 55, Room L-102) and virtually via MS Teams.

This event brings together insights from three leading university alliances—Arqus, Transform4Europe, and ERUA—and explores how they are shaping the future of open science and research collaboration across Europe. Key highlights include:

  • A keynote by Prof. Dr. Ludo Waltman on the principles of the Barcelona Declaration, a foundational document for open access to research information.
  • Discussions on Lithuania’s national open science policies and their implications for research information.
  • An exploration of the Research Organisation Registry (ROR) and its role in enhancing scholarly communication.

The event will be held in English. No pre-registration is required.
