The ERUA’s Night of Ideas 2023 – Call for proposals: Talk or Artistic performance

ERUA’s Night of Ideas – Call for proposals

Deadline : 26 October 2023

Target of the call: Researchers, non-academic staff, artists, Master and PhD students from the all universities of the European Reform University Alliance.
The 3rd edition of the online ERUA’s Night of Ideas will be organised on December 5, 2023 from 5 to 10 PM CET. The main theme is “MORE”.
The Night of Ideas is an all-night marathon of debates, programs and performances organized by the French Institute around the world. Since its creation in 2021, the European Reform University Alliance has organized an ERUA Night of Ideas every year to promote new approaches between partner universities.

We would like to invite you to reflect on four themes that emerged from a play on the dual meanings of “plus,” as well as “humanité” and “monde” in French:

– More than one language or no more of one language! (Plus d’une langue!)
– More oxygen / No more oxygen! We can’t breathe! (Plus d’oxygène!)
– More humanity (humanness) / No more humanity! (Plus d’humanité!)
– More people! / More than one world or no more of one world! (Plus de monde!)

All forms of contributions are welcome (lectures, presentations, artistic performances, screenings, concerts…), open exchanges and the most unexpected ideas are invited to join the party, offering an original interpretation of the theme of the year.

– Presentations: maximum 15 minutes.

– Artistic performances/presentations: between 3 and 10 minutes max. Please note that the selected projects may benefit from financial support to ensure their production (small material). Please include a detailed budget in your proposal.
