We would like to invite you to participate in the 1st ERUA HackAThon 2023 competition of “Accelerating Aegean Islands: Entrepreneurial, Sustainable, Resilient, Creative & Multi, – inter, – trans- disciplinary Communities”!
When – 24 – 25 May 2023
Where – Hybrid, at University of the Aegean, School of Business Studies, Chios Island
Who – Students of the ERUA Universities and young citizens from the ERUA regions aged between 18-35 (included)
The main aim of the competition is to encourage collaboration among ERUA students and young regional citizens to work in teams, share experiences and ideas, giving inspiration and hope that the way we live and use our resources on the planet becomes smarter, sustainably beautiful and more creative.
The 3 challenges are based upon the frame of digitalization, sustainability, and creativity, in an effort to improve current practices and preserve the insular regions of the hosting country, by creating links to and among islands in the Aegean Sea and the mainland.

#Challenge 3: Creative & Multi-, inter-, trans-, disciplinary Communities
The competition will be held in parallel with other ERUA activities as the 4th workshop “Reform Universities, society and entrepreneurship: Current views and future research agenda” and the 5th workshop for early-career researchers “Entrepreneurship in Science & Arts” (WP2, RUC), as well as the Re:ERUA “Re-Up My skills” initiative for an open dialogue event with regional, national, and European stakeholders for re-skilling and up-skilling (WP4, UAegean).
