Open Science

Open Science is the idea that academic findings like research data and publications should be shared as openly as possible as early as possible. In other words: As much as possible should be published transparently and made available to the public as early as possible in the academic process.

In the context of Re:ERUA, work package 5, which is led by the University of Konstanz, pursues Open Science-related efforts in the context of ERUA by seizing synergies within the alliance to the end of enhancing Open Science-related efforts within the alliance.

Open Science Meet-Ups

Are you interested in discussing Open Science-related matters of all sorts with other ERUA Open Science enthusiasts in a relaxed atmosphere? You are very welcome to visit our monthly meet-ups – no registration required.

Basic Open Science Course

Are you intrigued by the concept of Open Science but unsure what it encompasses and where to start? Please feel free to check out our free basic Open Science Course and find out more about the ideas, concepts and subfields of Open Science. It is an asynchronous self-study course.

Advanced Open Science Course

This asynchronous self-study course builds on and extends the scope of the Basic Course. It covers the following topics: Open Science Policies and Strategies, Resarch Data Management II: Perspectives across ERUA and Planning Data Management, Open Access Models, Publishing Open Access, Citizen Science, Legal Questions II: The PSI Directive and Alternative Measure of Research Impact.
